Welcome to Pam's Homely Page!

~ a goofy emporium of triviality since 1996! ~ (This site hasn't really been updated in quite a while.)

Hello world. You're visiting this webpage probably because a) you know me or someone in my family and want to see what I'm up to or b) you did a search for cats, or Chaplins, or some other content that appears on my web page. Either way, I hope you enjoy your visit. I don't expect most folks out there to especially care about all this stuff, I'm just maintaining this page to entertain or inform those individuals who want to be entertained or informed by me. I'm not even selling anything!

My name is Pam and I am many things: web author, wife, dabbler, artist, sister, consultant, jokester, rebel, fairy god mother, friend, manager, subordinate, daughter, and juggler. But, best of all, I am a Mom!
I live with my brilliant husband David, fascinating pre-schooler, Clara, and utterly charming toddler, Amelia, also known as Amy. We share the house with Josey Allen, a fat blue cat and Jitterbug, an orange tiger cat.

The Present:
What time is it?

The Future:
Ah, the future. The moments that await us. The pessimist might think that the best times are only faded memories, times are better in our memories than they actually were at the time. For the pessimist, maybe the future is just a trap for more unfortunate incidents to come, for more trials to be endured, and disappointments that we learn to cope with. For an optimist, these are challenging opportunities, waiting to be discovered, fascinating mysteries to be unfurled, the thrilling chapter that you just can't wait to get to.

I am neither pessimist nor optimist. I just like to wait and see.

The Past: Old news, and strange times gone by.

December 10, 2004: That's today. I am procrastinating. Why not?

May 11, 2004: Where does the time go? Happy Birthday Amy!

May 11, 2003: Amelia Robin (nickname Amy) was born on Mother's Day at 12:23 AM at the Birth Center in Bryn Mawr, PA. A wonderful birth and a wonderful kid. We love the Birth Center and recommend it highly to any expectant parents who want the optimal birth environment for their baby - be it the first baby or the fifth!

October, November, December, 2001. What did I do during this time? Nothing extraordinary, unless you count kissing boo-boo's, coping with an adjustment into full time work AND full time "Mom-ing", while continuing to volunteer my "free" time as a Breastfeeding counselor for new local moms.

September 11, 2001. Yes, this too is a part of our past. How I wish that terror could be relegated to only a bad memory of the distant past, rather than a recent deep pain of conflict, continuing through the present, and marring our hopes for a safer, peaceful future.

September 3, 2001. I returned to full time work, and Clara began full time school at Germantown Friends School Nursery Program. She loves it there!

July 11, 2001- Clara is already one year old. How did that happen so fast???

May, 2001: I began volunteering with NMAC (Nursing Mothers Advisory Counsel) after a 9 week training course. I am now counseling new mothers to help them with breastfeeding. I also am the Playgroup Co-ordinator for my local chapter.

10/3/2000: I went back to work (3 days a week) with Academic Computer Services after 12 weeks of being home with Clara.

I gave birth to Clara Marisa on 7/11/00. It was great-- click here only if you find birth stories fascinating and wondrous (as I do).

Life B.C. (Before Clara): Even older pam-news items.

Have a question? Perhaps it's covered in my Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list!

Cats, cats, cats. Do you like cats? I love mine a lot so I've made them accessible to all on the web. I've got two. Josey Allen is our eldest and the other one is Jitterbug. Here's why we named him that.

I do enjoy hearing from random people. Fortunately, some people did write to tell me what they think. Here's what they had to say.

Interested in hiring a fascinating person like me? Why not go ahead and check out my resume.

I created all the background patterns you see on my pages. You may copy them onto your webpages if you like, but please send me an e-mail asking for permission first. It would make my day!

I also coordinate theDavid Fan Club.

Check out Felicity's home page! Felicity is growing up faster than I can scan her pictures. This little girl is my eldest adorable niece, and updates are coming soon. Felicity and her sister Joy had lots of fun with me this Christmas.
